Use the pattern sizing information to determine what size you would like your finished pattern to be THEN add additional inches/centimeters to the height and width of the fabric otherwise you will be stitching from edge to edge without a way to finish the piece.

Minimum should be no less than 2 inches/5.08 centimeters FOR EACH SIDE (left, right, top, bottom) but recommended is 3 inches/7.62 centimeters FOR EACH SIDE (left, right, top, bottom) especially if framing.
